The mission of the IIBA and thus the Boston chapter is to develop and maintain standards for the practice of business analysis and for the certification of its practitioners.

The IIBA offers two certifications, Certification of Competency in Business AnalysisTM (CCBA®) and Certified Business Analysis ProfessionalTM (CBAP®).

It is imperative that members that are interested in pursuing certification reference the IIBA Certification page. Reading the CBAP and/or CCBA handbooks will answer most of your questions.

The chapter provides the following programs to assist and develop members to become certified as a business analysis practitioners or professionals:

  • Webinars to provide information and assistance with the certification application process.
  • Certification Exam Preparation Study Groups to study the BABOK and prepare for taking the certification exam.

Dates and times for the events will be advertised through chapter emails, the chapter newsletter and published on the Events page.

Certification Exam Prep Study groups

The study groups are inclusive of both certifications, CCBA and CBAP, as the content and preparation for both certifications are the same.
