Why Scrum Needs a BA

Speaker: Dave West, Scrum.org

Business Analysis and Scrum – A love story

Scrum describes 3 roles, Product Owner, Scrum Master and Development Team Member. But what happens if your job title is not on the list? What happens if you are a Business Analyst? Does the adoption of Scrum mean you have to retrain, or lose your job?

In this talk Dave West, CEO and Product Owner for Scrum.org describes how the roles in Scrum intersect with the reality of job titles and the activities that must be accomplished to successfully deliver products to market. He will provide a deep dive into the Business Analyst role and how important those activities become in delivering value. Discussing how the business analysis skills support the team and the Product Owner. He will introduce a number of different organizational models, describing their benefits and risks. But don’t worry, business analysis is needed in Agile organizations.
