The Secretary is an officer and shall be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Chapter and all Operational Portfolios, including the development and delivery of operations relating to each scheduled Chapter meeting. The Secretary also keeps the records of all business meetings of the Chapter and meetings of the BOD and is the Secretary of Record for the Chapter’s Incorporation with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Secretary manages all communication received by the chapter. Additionally, the Secretary presides over meeting when the President is unavailable. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Schedule Meeting Facilities
  2. Setup Event Registration
  3. Hold Event
  4. Support Event Setup
  5. Report Event to IIBA® (for Insurance Coverage)

General responsibilities for all BOD roles include:

  1. Charter committees and appoint a chairperson as required
  2. Recruit volunteers
  3. Manage and retain volunteers
  4. Develop a succession plan; identify and develop their successor(s)
  5. Communicate appropriate information with Chapter BOD Members
  6. Remain a Chapter member in good standing throughout their term as an officer of the Chapter
  7. Proactively fulfill all responsibilities in accordance with Chapter's Charter
